Prescription drug list changes for 2027
Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Sprinklr will move to the Cigna Value Prescription Drug List—the list of medications covered under your prescription drug benefit. The list emphasizes clinically effective medications and lower-cost options when appropriate. Check the medications you take and understand any changes before January.
What’s changing
Some medications may:
- Move to a different coverage tier, which may change what you pay.
- Require approval from Cigna or use of a lower-cost covered medication first.
- No longer be covered under the prescription drug benefit.
Certain prescription allergy and heartburn medications will no longer be covered because over-the-counter alternatives are available. Examples include Nexium, Prilosec, Pepcid, Flonase and Xyzal, along with certain generic medications. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about an appropriate alternative.
Review your medications before January
If a medication you currently take is affected, Cigna will send you a letter in November explaining the change, covered alternatives and any available coverage review options.
- During Open Enrollment: Call the Cigna pre-enrollment line at 888-806-5042 for help in understanding how your medications will be covered in 2027.
- Before Jan. 1: Talk with your doctor about covered alternatives. If there is a clinical reason you need to continue your current medication, your doctor may be able to request a coverage review or exception. Approval is not guaranteed.
- Beginning Jan. 1: Sign in at myCigna.com or use the myCigna app’s Price a Medication tool to check your plan-specific coverage and costs.
Explore the Cigna Value Prescription Drug List
The Cigna Healthcare Value Prescription Drug List includes:
- Generic and brand-name medications, organized by condition or medication type.
- Each medication’s coverage tier.
- Notes identifying requirements such as prior authorization, quantity limits or trying a preferred medication first.
- Answers to common questions about coverage, medication costs and lower-cost options.
The Cigna Value Prescription Drug List does not identify every change from Sprinklr’s current coverage. Your plan may not cover every medication listed, and the list can change.
The examples below show how selected medications are listed for 2027—not necessarily changes from your current coverage. This is not a complete list.
| 2027 drug list | What to know | |
|---|---|---|
| lisdexamfetamine | Tier 1 — generic | Prior authorization and quantity limits* are listed. |
| Trintellix | Tier 2 — preferred brand | Quantity limits are listed. |
| Quillivant XR | Tier 3 — non-preferred brand | Prior authorization and quantity limits are listed. |
| Clarinex and Xyzal | Not covered | Prescription allergy medications are excluded; over-the-counter alternatives are available. |
| Nexium and Prilosec OTC | Not covered | Medications for heartburn and stomach acid problems are excluded; over-the-counter alternatives are available. |

GLP-1 coverage changes
Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, GLP-1 medications prescribed for weight loss will no longer be covered by the Sprinklr medical plan. If you currently use—or are considering—a GLP-1 medication for weight management, there are other options you can explore in 2027, including Noom, the Cigna Supplemental Discount Program (SDP) and direct-to-consumer programs.
- NEW Noom: Prescription medications may also be available through Noom; however, medication costs are paid by you. Discounts may be available on certain brand-name and compounded medications.
- NEW Cigna Supplemental Discount Program (SDP): If you have a valid prescription for an eligible medication that is not covered by the plan, including certain GLP-1 medications like Wegovy, Zepbound, or Foundayo, the SDP may give you access to a discounted price. You pay the full discounted cost, and the amount you pay does not count toward your medical plan deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
- Direct-to-consumer options: You may also choose to explore direct-to-consumer programs that provide access to GLP-1 medications and/or weight-management support. Examples include programs offered by manufacturers or direct-to-consumer options. These programs are separate from Sprinklr’s benefits, and you are responsible for any associated costs.
If you currently take a GLP-1 medication for weight loss
If you currently take a GLP-1 medication that will no longer be covered for weight loss beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Cigna will send you a notice approximately 60 days before the coverage change takes effect with information about how the change may affect you.
Be sure to review the notice and talk with your health care provider about your options, including the alternative programs (listed above) for accessing these medications in 2027.
